sweet esther

on january 30, heaven gained another angel. precious esther went to be with jesus. she was 14 and endured a lot of pain in her short life. her mother died when she was 6 and then she was sent to live with her aunt. while living with her aunt, she was beaten and burned. she arrived at fiwaogh in 2007 and had been fighting HIV her whole life. these past few months have been hard for her and she had been in and out of the hospital. before she left this earth, she was able to sing her favorite hymn "come thou fount" one last time with the woman who loved her like a mother would while she was at fiwagoh. esther was such a sweet and precious spirit and i know she is loving it up there with jesus. i am so thankful she is no longer hurting or in pain. she has now been made perfect and i know god had a reason for calling her home. many times people dont understand why things like this happen but we have to cling to the truth that god always works for our good and he has a reason for everything.
this is one of the last pictures taken of esther before she went to heaven. even through all of her pain, she was still smiling and wearing a beautiful pipe cleaner crown.
sweet esther, i have loved watching you grow up and i miss you every day. i miss seeing your sweet smile light up a room. i miss your hugs because you were one great hugger. i miss holding your hand while walking to the field to play on the playground. your precious soul will be missed by so many because you have made an imprint so many hearts, especially mine. i know that you are no longer hurting or sick or in pain, but it is still hard to fathom that i wont get to see your smiling face until i join you in heaven. keep singing with jesus with that beautiful voice of yours! nakupenda to heaven and back sweet girl.
